Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Mr. Shinya Fujii, Head of Service Industry of JETRO, said that the Test Kitchen event was joined by a large Japanese catering company specializing in the field of food and drink and they all have to pass the strict selection to shortlist 5 companies to introduce in this festival.
Through 11 days of experience, customers will have chance to taste the famous dishes from Japan: Tonkotsu ramen, Udon noodles, Gyoza, salmon rice, rice balls… With the desire to bring the most delicious and special Japanese food, chefs from these five brands have studied and introduce a wide variety of dishes which are also suitable with Vietnamese people taste.
In five years from 2009 to 2013, the F&B field has grown rapidly. In addition, according to WTO commitments, Vietnam has opened up foreign businesses to invest in the restaurant sector, lead to an increase in foreign investment and promising rapid expansion of this market in the future.
This is the first food festival event that JETRO has organized in Vietnam. The event was also held on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan relationship, which is meant to promote investment, cooperation and friendship between two countries.
With the constant creativity and sophistication of each dish, “Japan Food Festival” is not only good food, reasonable price but also an enjoyable experience space with Hikari lanterns, flowers cherry spring, unique Torii gate – symbol of the land of rising sun.
