The scholarship granting ceremony was honored by the presence of His Excellency Naoki Ito – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam, representative of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Secretary General of AEON 1% Club Foundation, representatives of member companies of AEON Group in Vietnam, representatives of the university: University of Social Sciences and Humanities – VNU, Foreign Trade University, and Vietnam National University of Agriculture.

At the ceremony, the “AEON 1% Club Foundation Scholarship” were granted to 54 students who are currently in 3rd and 4th year with high academic achievements from 3 universities, with a total scholarship worth more than VND 1 billion.

In his address at the ceremony, His Excellency Naoki Ito – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam sent his congratulations to 54 students and shared: “I hope that all the scholarship recipients today would continue to be a bridge, contributing to the strengthening of the friendship between Vietnam and Japan.”

Ms. Sasaki Mariko – Secretary General of the AEON 1% Club Foundation shared: “The AEON 1% Club Foundation scholarship supports university students across Asia who play an active role in the world as a bridge between their home country and Japan. I wish that you use the expertise and skills you have acquired in your respective fields to grow into individuals who contribute to communities.

At the Scholarship Granting Ceremony, 3 scholarship recipients delivered speeches about their dreams. These “My Dream” speeches shared inspiring stories, personal aspirations, and the core values that guide their journey of growth, gradually shaping the goals they hope to achieve in the future.

Professor Dr. Pham Van Cuong, Vice President of Vietnam National University of Agriculture,  extended his congratulations to the outstanding students who are being awarded scholarships. He represented universities with students receiving scholarships and shared: “Through the scholarship program, the AEON 1% Club Foundation has made significant contributions to student development. We have witnessed the positive changes in our students who have benefited from the scholarship.”

“AEON 1% Club Foundation Scholarship” is a representative activity within the framework of the program “Fostering friendship with foreign countries” with the hope that scholarship student achieve the future dream, always pioneer in their expertise after graduation, strengthen the friendship and mutual understanding between Japan and other countries in the region. In Vietnam, since 2011 until now, the scholarship has supported 1339 students of universities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh.
