Located in central Vietnam, Da Nang City is one of the municipalities under the central government, with a population of approximately 1.25 million. The city has long flourished as an international trading port, and today, as the largest city in the central region, it is experiencing remarkable economic growth. It is also renowned as a tourist destination that attracts many domestic and international visitors. The mall is located in the city’s central area, just a 5-minute drive from Da Nang International Airport, making it a promising location that can attract both local customers and tourists.
The mall will open as an urban commercial facility on the lower floor of a new complex developed by the TTC Group*. The high-rise building will include a hotel, offices, and apartments in addition to the mall, and is expected to become a new symbol of the city of Da Nang.
On September 26, representatives from AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. and TTC Group attended the signing ceremony for the master lease agreement between TTC and AEONMALL Vietnam.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nakagawa Tetsuyuki, General Director of AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd., stated: “To meet the demand for the next AEON MALL in the Central region, following AEON MALL Hue, for the residents of Da Nang city, the two companies have engaged in extensive negotiations, overcoming many challenges to achieve this first milestone, which is today’s agreement exchange ceremony. This is one of the new development models for shopping malls, in which AEON MALL will become an integral part of the mixed-use project, enhancing convenience for city residents while also contributing to the region’s development.”
Mr. Dang Van Thanh, Chairman of TTC Group emphasized: “The two sides have had the opportunity to cooperate for over 10 years, starting with the AEON MALL Tan Phu Celadon project. TTC Group has witnessed the development of AEON Group and AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Vietnam. He assessed that AEON MALL has created an environment for Vietnamese customers to access modern shopping services, contributing to changing and enhancing the shopping experience positively. AEON MALL has affirmed its commitment to sustainable development in Vietnam. Both sides will proceed with the next steps of the project, hoping that the residents of Da Nang will soon experience a modern shopping space.”
