At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh City People’s Committee, acknowledged and commended AEONMALL Vietnam for organizing the tree-planting activity ahead of the opening of AEON MALL Ha Long. He noted that the initiative demonstrated the company’s commitment to the community and the environment, aligned with the locality’s green and sustainable development goals, and reflected the investor’s long-term commitment to Quang Ninh.
He also shared that, as of the end of September 2026, Japan had 23 investment projects in Quang Ninh, with total registered capital exceeding USD 2.8 billion, ranking second among the countries and territories investing in the locality. In this context, AEON MALL Ha Long is a significant project for the city’s commercial infrastructure, contributing to consumer spending, creating jobs, and offering residents and visitors a modern shopping and lifestyle destination.
Highlighting the significance of the tree-planting activity, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong stated: “The trees planted today carry symbolic meaning. What we are nurturing together is a culture of responsibility towards the community, trust in our partnership, and a better future for generations to come.”
Mr. Isobe Daisuke, General Director of AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd., emphasized that the tree-planting activity was not simply about increasing green coverage, but also reflected AEONMALL Vietnam’s desire to build a long-term relationship with the local community and grow together with the city.
“The trees planted today may still be small, but in five, ten, or twenty years, they will gradually mature, creating green spaces and shade, and becoming part of Ha Long’s urban landscape. AEON MALL Ha Long also hopes to grow alongside these trees, building a lasting connection with and developing together with the local community,” Mr. Isobe Daisuke shared.
He also affirmed that, alongside tree planting, AEONMALL Vietnam would continue to promote energy-saving solutions, the use of renewable energy, and efficient water resource management, with the goal of developing an environmentally friendly shopping mall. Nearly 7,000 trees of various species suited to the local natural conditions are being planted in the areas surrounding AEON MALL Ha Long, helping create a harmonious landscape and establish green spaces in the area. Under the message “Spark the Green Waves,” the event marks the beginning of a greener journey towards a more sustainable future.
